Bibles in Various Languages

left margin

The Bible is a collection of 66 “books” first written in Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek. (The language used originally varies between these three, depending on the book.)

Although it is possible to learn Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek and then read the Bible, it makes more sense to read a copy translated into the language you read best. Fortunately, there are Bible translations available in many languages.

There is a good free Bible for Windows, available in many languages, which you can download and run on your computer. If you are using Linux, click here to go to the Linux Bible page. These programs are not as fancy as those sold in Christian bookstores. Still, they work fine once you set them up, and the price can not be beat!
